She has established herself as a versatile soloist and collaborator, known for her captivating concert programs that feature underrepresented composers, genre crossovers, and contemporary music. Valerie offers a wide range of services, including performing as a pianist for corporate events, film and television, weddings, and as a supporting band member for other artists.


Corporate Events

Valerie Stern offers professional corporate event services as a musician, providing piano music for holiday parties, awards ceremonies, conferences, or any other corporate functions. Her experience, stage presence, and versatile repertoire make her the perfect choice to add a touch of elegance to your next corporate event.

Film & Television 

Valerie is available for television and film productions, including bookings as a sideline musician, soundtrack pianist, or a hand double for precise on-screen performances. Equally at home on set or in the recording studio, Valerie has showcased her expertise as a pianist in the Amazon thriller Nocturne, working alongside actresses Sydney Sweeney and Madison Iseman, HBO's Perry Mason, and most recently, WWE's Wrestlemania. Session Keyboards & Live Bands

In addition to her work as a soloist, Valerie Stern offers services as a backing musician for live events and studio recordings. She can accompany artists with an array of digital synth and keyboard sounds, as well as sing background vocals and arrange vocal harmony parts. Her ability to adapt and collaborate with other artists makes her an invaluable asset for creating memorable and dynamic live musical experiences.

Experience

  • Solo Concerts: Valerie presented a solo concert of Hip Hop classics for classical piano as part of Fever Entertainment's popular Candlelight Concert Series in April 2023.

  • Collaborations: She has performed with renowned orchestras such as the UCLA Symphony, presenting Manuel de Falla's evocative "Nights in the Gardens of Spain" for piano and orchestra.

  • Premiere Performance: Valerie premiered Roland's 50th Anniversary digital concept piano at the CES conference in Las Vegas, NV, in January 2023.

  • Aside from her solo endeavors, Valerie also sings and performs as part of the Japanese-American pop duo Layla Lane. With Layla Lane, Valerie has achieved notable milestones, including co-writing songs for Coca-Cola commercials, touring Japan and the U.S., and hosting recurring segments on Japanese TV. Their debut album is available on the Japanese major label Avex.

  • Film, TV, and Theater Work: Valerie's exceptional piano skills have led to exciting opportunities in the world of film, TV, and theater. She has worked as a piano hand double for lead actresses Sydney Sweeney and Madison Iseman in the Amazon thriller "Nocturne" (2020) and appeared in the motion picture "I Know Who Killed Me" (2007), doubling for actress Lindsay Lohan. Valerie has also performed as a pianist for live productions such as "The Queen's Ball: A Bridgerton Experience" (2022) and can be seen in the current season of "Perry Mason" (HBO).

  • What kind of music will you play at our event, concert or project? The music will depend on the event, but can range from classical piano to jazzy cocktail music- and even include creative arrangements of  pop and R&B songs. Valerie will discuss the details of the event and collaborate with you on what type of music is best for the event.

  • Do we need to supply the piano? If the venue does not have a piano, Valerie can bring a portable Nord keyboard or a full-size digital piano. Sound systems can also be provided if necessary.

  • How much does it cost to book Valerie? Rates will vary depending on the type and size of the event. Additional costs may be included for travel and additional equipment.
